Obang’s heart for his people is one of the most genuine things I may have encountered in my journey. He continuously advocates for them and wants their story to be heard, all the while sharing the good news of God and His Kingdom. There are a lot of needs within the refugee camp, and I think there are people within the camp who could benefit from the funds raised if we happen to exceed our $13,000 AUD mark, and are able to assist in some way. So far we have raised over $12,000 AUD (through premiere ticket sales, gofundme, and church donations) to bring Obang’s mother to Australia, so if we raise anything beyond that, I know Obang would be grateful and extremely excited to help out his people, especially during this time of Covid and the other viruses running rampant around the world.
